Fails

Today, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we kicked off a new theme about the lessons learned from the life of David.  We discussed how to respond to failure biblically, and the scripture references were I and II Samuel and Psalm 51.  We unpacked the seriousness of David's sin with Bathsheba.  He failed terribly, yet as a man after God's own heart, he eventually owned it, confessed it, repented, and restored his relationship with God.  What lessons can we learn from this story in our own lives?  Our special guest was Dan Allender.  Dan is a professor of Counseling Psychology in Seattle, and he speaks exensively on abuse, trauma, and recovery.  He's the author of several books, and today we highlighted, "The Wounded Heart".  Dan has a powerful personal story of overcoming, and he shared about triggers and how Jesus can use heartache.  Ally also shared a clip of her special interview with Michael Cochren of Cochren and Co.  He shared his personal faith testimony, music, and more.  Hear the full interview on Ally's Snapshot Testimony podcast.  Hear highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast by clicking the audio button below.
