Today, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our weekly theme: "Good News in a Bad News World", and we discussed culture with guest, rooftop pastor, Corey Brooks, of New Beginnings Church in Chicago.  In the midst of crushing headlines, God is still at work through his people who are ministering in love and where needed.  Pastor is internationally known as the "rooftop pastor" and founder of Project H.O.O.D.  Why he has earned that title and what he is doing is powerful and motivating.  The scripture reference was Isaiah 58:12.  Why is there so much division, rage, hate, and chaos? Hour 2: Depression

Today, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our weekly theme: "Good News in a Bad News World".  We discussed hope and victory despite the rising numbers of depression and mental illness.  What more can we do?  What can the church do?  Our expert guest was MBI professor and licensed counselor, Dr. Deb Gorton (also host of the "Becoming Well podcast).  She emphasized self-stewardship, not just self-care, and offered some very encouraging steps to find help.  We also talked with nationally known radio host and author, Susie Larson.  Susie shared her own story of personal depth to victory.  You can hear highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast by clicking the audio button below.
