Today, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our new weekly theme: "Spiritual Disciplines", and we discussed some key spiritual disciplines to grow our relationship with God. The scripture reference was I Timothy 4:15-16. We focused heavily on solitude and silence and shared that even Jesus practiced these disciplines (Matthew 14:23). Discipline does require effort and hard work. It can be difficult at first, but the results are so powerful. Other disciplines we mentioned were frugality, abstinence, fasting, secrecy, and sacrifice. You can hear the highlights from today on the Karl and Crew Showcast by clicking the audio button below.

Our special guest was Junior Ziegler, who is the Lead Teaching Pastor at The Bridge Community Church in Des Plaines. Junior has a new book called "The Vitals: The Critical Organs of Christianity".
