Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, the team talks about the real meanings of blessings. In the ESV translation of the New Testament, there is 112 references to the word "blessed" and in those moments, the word is not referring to physical prosperity. God absolutely blesses us with the possessions that we have, but "blessed is used for something greater in the New Testament. In almost every use of the word, the one using it is referring to some sort of hardship or position of humility. It is in the midst of hardship and humility that we can feel fulfilled and that is only because of God. When we turn to Him in our hurt, He blesses us with His loving presence. How have you been blessed by God in the midst of hurt?
