Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, the team talks about the need to be freed from religious hoop-jumping. Doing "good deeds" and "Christian tasks" without the Holy Spirit is one of the most pointless, exhausting mistakes a person can make. Activities like going to church, teaching in Bible study, and reading your Bible don't mean a thing if you aren't walking with the Holy Spirit. It is not these things that make you righteous. Know that you do not need to perform for God. He saved you when you were a sinner, and He doesn't need you to be perfect right now. Confess this to God and finally feel that freedom from trying to please Him by jumping through hoops.
