Karl and Sputnik both share stories of when influential people in their life had to tell them a hard truth to hear in tears. Sometimes we withold what we say to people, or we soften it up because it seems more kind to do so. That is not love at all. Speaking the truth in love is all about having a passion for the potential good someone can experience. This isn't condemning a person for their actions, but it isn't softening the blow either. This is being bold and loving so that this person can experience more freedom in Christ.
