Can God really see beyond a person's failures? Every believer occasionally struggles with doubt over their salvation. These feelings are more than discouraging; they underestimate Christ's complete sacrifice for sin. To fight the unrelenting guilt, believers need to meditate on every facet of Jesus's atonement.
Clearly defining penal substitution, our teacher/pastor special guest will explain twelve things God does with believers' sin--including forgiving it, passing over it, and trampling it underfoot--as well as three things God never does, such as counting sins against believers. Contrasting a Christian's "eternal union" with God, which is certain, with "experiential communion," which can be disrupted by sin, he will help us find the freedom to love and serve God with a purified conscience.
