Moody RadioWhy did Jesus’ parents flee to Egypt after his birth? Were there 3 Wise men or more? Who first saw the angels at His birth? Why would a King be born in a stable? Join us to hear a New Testament scholar explain the story of Christmas and why each part of this historical event has significance. Understand Christmas in a new and deeper way.
As Christmas day draws near, we spend this hour highlighting Old Testament promises and the important connections to Christ's later life and ministry. The birth of Jesus stands as a pivotal moment in the history of the world, marking a dramatic turning point in God's plan to redeem creation from sin and death. Much to the world's surprise, redemption had arrived . . . in the form of a lowly baby. We will examine the Gospels' birth narratives, clearing away common misconceptions, making messianic connections, and setting the stage for Jesus's later life and ministry.
