Thomas Olp

Thomas Olp is the Vice President and Senior Counsel with the Thomas Moore Society. He earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, graduating magna cum laude.  He received a J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and earned an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center.  Tom started his career as a labor attorney with the National Labor Relations Board, Peoria, Illinois regional office and later worked as a labor and employment lawyer with Montgomery Ward in Baltimore, MD.  From 1985 until 1994 he practiced labor and employment law and general litigation in Washington, D.C. with Finley Kumble and Ross & Hardies, where he was a partner.  Since 1994 he has served as Vice President and General Counsel for Connor-Winfield Corporation, Aurora, Illinois. Tom also serves in various volunteer capacities at his local parish. Tom began working with Thomas More Society in 2007, offering pro bono services for the Society until 2014, when he was elected a board member.  He has worked as a full-time attorney with Thomas More Society since 2015.  He is admitted to practice law in Illinois, and manages the Society’s cases in Illinois as well as in other states through counsel in those states. Tom’s cases have involved legal issues related to sidewalk counseling, religious freedom, transgender, defamation, employment, and FOIA.

In 1995 he became an official tour guide for the state of Israel and developed a passion for ministering to the Israeli people, Arabs and Jews alike.
