Perhaps you’ve been to counseling for years – or maybe you’ve never sought outside help. Either way, you know there are fears, insecurities, emotional blockages that have kept you from living truly free. You’re tired of it and want more.
You experience unresolved pain and multiple layers of self-protection called defense mechanisms, that lead to addictions, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties (yes-even with God) with which we all struggle. Today our guest will give both a clinical and spiritual perspective to become truly free. The resulting peace, love, joy, reconciled marriages and relationships, and sense of positive Christ centered identity, is the fruit of your journey and will come as you lay these protections down that have become your prison.

Steve Fair is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) and Certified Addiction Counselor who has worked in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse field for over 24 years, specialized to work with many diverse populations. Mr. Fair earned his Bachelor and Masters degrees at the University of Michigan and started his career working with Substance Abuse Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder Assessment and Treatment, and play therapy with kids. Mr. Fair then oversaw clinical services for some of the most difficult cases in our county at a set of Crisis Residential Homes for children and teenagers. He has a passion for helping marriages and families, focusing on the scriptural premise that before we look at “fixing” our relationships, we need to first individually “take the plank our of your own eye, before you can see the speck in your brother’s.” Steve has seen great success with some of the most treatment resistant cases when his clients allow him to help them integrate their faith into their healing process. Mr. Fair is trained in Inner Healing Prayer models, and helps people to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually! He has also served as a pastor and has a ministry degree from Morningstar School of Ministry. He presently oversees Renewal as the Director, as well as maintaining clientele in both the Port Huron and Mount Clemens locations.
