Nobody’s road to faith in Jesus is debris free. Most of us can recount stories of mistakes, missteps and misunderstandings along the way. Our guest today shares his story of growing up with agnostic parents but wondering about the faith of the people he saw attending the Catholic church on one end of his street and the Baptist church on the other end. His search to understand the God they worshiped has turned into a lifelong pursuit of the grace and mystery of God. He will help us understand the fundamental questions and struggles that both spiritual seekers and mature believer struggle with in their pursuit of a real and lasting relationship with God.
For many decades the freedom to practice your Christian faith in our nation was a given and nobody questioned it or even raised an eyebrow about it. But those days are gone. Now religious liberty and freedom are under attack from every corner. And many of those battles are being fought in the courtrooms of our nation. Join us today as our guest shares his stories from the front lines of those battles. He will share stories of victory and the battles that have yet to be won. And in the process he will remind us all that there was a cost to secure those freedoms and there is STILL a cost to ensure that they are not lost.
