Benjamin, 22, is the son of Rev. John Cao and Jamie Powell. He was born in Hong Kong, and grew up moving between China and North Carolina frequently. Brought up in the church, Benjamin spent a lot of time on service projects and helping with his father's ministry. While studying International Business and Mandarin at Appalachian State University, Benjamin interned in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2015. While working as an intern, he was the construction manager of over 100 temporary houses for earthquake victims in the mountain villages of Kathmandu. After graduating from Appalachian State in 2016, he moved to Raleigh, NC to be closer to his fiancée, Jenny. He plans to create a solar energy company, providing sustainable power to 3rd world countries.

He holds a PhD in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry from Ohio University.

The brother of radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh, Mr. Limbaugh lives in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with his wife and children.
