James J. Ackerman is the president and CEO of Prison Fellowship. He has more than 20 years of experience as a highly effective executive, working with media companies like Documentary Channel, British Interactive Broadcasting, Broadway Systems, and Open TV. James spent more than a dozen years volunteering with Prison Fellowship, leveraging his business experience to teach prisoners important life skills, such as resume writing, job interviewing, household budgeting, and personal planning. He also spent 10 years mentoring prisoners and former prisoners, including a man who, though convicted of murder, went on to start a successful business of his own following his release from prison. He and James maintain a close friendship today.
Jamie Janosz is the Managing Editor of Today in the Word, a daily Bible study devotional from Moody Bible Institute. She studied theology and writing at Moody Bible Institute, Columbia College, and Illinois State University. Jamie is the author of When Others Shuddered: Eight Women Who Refused to Give Up, which tells the stories of eight turn-of-the-century Christian women who impacted their world for God. Jamie and her husband, Milt, have been married 28 years and live on the Atlantic coast of Florida.
Chris Brooks is the Senior Pastor of Woodside Bible Church, a multisite congregation across the metro-Detroit area. Chris served for 20 years as the Senior Pastor of Evangel Ministries, a thriving 1600-member church in the heart of Detroit. He also served as the campus dean of Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan. A popular Detroit radio host since 2005, Chris is the author of Kingdom Dreaming and Urban Apologetics. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Finance, completed his MA in Christian Apologetics at Biola University, and graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He is currently pursuing a DMin degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Yodit, are the proud parents of 6 children, Christopher, Zewditu, Cameron, Judah, Sophia, and Christyana.
