It’s no secret that the families of active-duty Service members face higher stress, anxiety, and depression than civilians. While military families are strong, they need our support, too. Col. Gordon Groseclose is on the front lines of caring for our service men, women, and their children.  He will outline practical ways we can serve those who serve our nation!  Discover your role in offering the hope and love of Jesus to these amazing families!

Gordon G. Groseclose

Col. Gordon G. Groseclose is a retired U.S. Army Chaplain and program representative of American Bible Society’s Armed Services Ministry. 
He retired in 2015 after 32 years as a US Army Chaplain. His tours included command chaplain for Intelligence and Security, 2 regional medical commands, Army Medical Department Center and School, personnel coordinator for the Army Chief of Chaplains.  During his service, he pastored 4 military congregations.  He holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College and an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Gordon and his wife Debbie celebrate 42 years of marriage and live in Port Orchard, WA.

Chris Brooks

Chris Brooks is the Senior Pastor of Woodside Bible Church, a multisite congregation across the metro-Detroit area.    Chris served for 20 years as the Senior Pastor of Evangel Ministries, a thriving 1600-member church in the heart of Detroit. He also served as the campus dean of Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan. A popular Detroit radio host since 2005, Chris is the author of Kingdom Dreaming and Urban Apologetics. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Finance, completed his MA in Christian Apologetics at Biola University, and graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He is currently pursuing a DMin degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Yodit, are the proud parents of 6 children, Christopher, Zewditu, Cameron, Judah, Sophia, and Christyana.
