Coming up on Equipped, we will visit global Christians who live on the margins of their societies. What can we learn from those who risk their lives simply because they worship Jesus? What do we need to understand about the Gospel message for which they suffer? K.A. Ellis joins Chris to teach us to live with discernment and endurance under trial.
K.A. Ellis is a teacher and speaker. Her work explores the zones where Christian endurance, the African American church experience, and theological ethics intersect. She directs The Edmiston Center for the Study of the Bible and Ethnicity, where studies focus on Christian endurance on the margins of today’s societies. Additionally, she has been an Ambassador and vocal advocate for International Christian Response. She is a PhD candidate in Church History at Oxford Center for Mission Studies in Oxford, England and holds a Master of Art in Religion (Theological) from Westminster Theological Seminary, and a Master of Fine Art from the Yale School of Drama.
Karen and her husband, theological anthropologist Dr. Carl F. Ellis, Jr. have four amazing children and one delightful grand-daughter.
