David Platt is the Pastor Teacher at McLean Bible Church, in the metro D.C. area. Previously, he served as President of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and pastor of The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Alabama. David is the author of several books including, Radical, Radical Together, and Counter Culture. He also founded Radical, a ministry devoted to disseminating disciple-making resources so the Gospel can be made known to the ends of the earth.
David holds Master's degrees of Divinity and Theology and a Doctorate of Philosophy from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Marvin J. Newell is Senior Vice President of Missio Nexus, a network of evangelical mission agencies, churches and training centers in North America. Previously Marv served as a missionary in Papua, Indonesia, and as a mission administrator, professor of missions, and director of a missions association. He is the author of A Martyr’s Grace, Commissioned: What Jesus Wants You to Know as You Go, Expect Great Things: Mission Quotes that Inform and Inspire, and Crossing Cultures in Scriptures: Biblical Principles for Mission Practice. Marv is also an adjunct professor at Moody Theological Seminary and Western Seminary and sits on the board of five different mission organizations. He and his wife, Peggy, have been involved in missions for 40 years.
Chris Brooks is the Senior Pastor of Woodside Bible Church, a multisite congregation across the metro-Detroit area. Chris served for 20 years as the Senior Pastor of Evangel Ministries, a thriving 1600-member church in the heart of Detroit. He also served as the campus dean of Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan. A popular Detroit radio host since 2005, Chris is the author of Kingdom Dreaming and Urban Apologetics. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Finance, completed his MA in Christian Apologetics at Biola University, and graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He is currently pursuing a DMin degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Yodit, are the proud parents of 6 children, Christopher, Zewditu, Cameron, Judah, Sophia, and Christyana.
