Jedd Medefind serves as President of the Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO). CAFO unites more than 190 respected organizations working together to inspire and equip Christians for effective foster care, adoption and global orphan care.
Prior to this role, Jedd led the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives under President George W. Bush. Jedd also held a range of posts in the California State Legislature and has worked, studied and served in more than thirty countries.
Jedd has written many articles and four books, most recently Becoming Home .
Jedd and his wife Rachel live in California and have five children, one by adoption, and are currently foster parents as well.
Trace Thurlby serves as President of the Global Orphan Project, or GO Project, a ministry working to break the orphan cycle through the power of community, commerce and the love of Jesus. A distinguished graduate of United States Air Force Academy, Trace also holds an MBA from the Katz Graduate School at the University of Pittsburgh and is a CFA Charterholder. After serving as an Air Force officer, Trace transitioned to operational roles in financial services and a Christian broadcasting firm before a 2006 mission trip pierced his heart for orphaned and abandoned children. Today, Trace’s passion is to help the team apply best practices to help care for local children and families in crisis from Kansas City to Kampala.
Chris Brooks is the Senior Pastor of Woodside Bible Church, a multisite congregation across the metro-Detroit area. Chris served for 20 years as the Senior Pastor of Evangel Ministries, a thriving 1600-member church in the heart of Detroit. He also served as the campus dean of Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan. A popular Detroit radio host since 2005, Chris is the author of Kingdom Dreaming and Urban Apologetics. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Finance, completed his MA in Christian Apologetics at Biola University, and graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He is currently pursuing a DMin degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Yodit, are the proud parents of 6 children, Christopher, Zewditu, Cameron, Judah, Sophia, and Christyana.
