When he heard his father was gone, a six-year-old boy asked a penetrating question: “Who’s going to take my Dad’s place?” Kids may be resilient but they all need a father. Huge holes remain in their lives if no one steps up. Chris Brooks will be talking about the needs of fatherless families, God’s response to them, and how the Church should respond as well. He will also take your calls - about stepping into the Daddy Gap!

Matt Haviland founded A Father’s Walk in April of 2008. Having been a single father for over 9 years, Matt understands the struggles single dads encounter on a daily basis. Matt grew up in a single parent household himself, living with his mom. When his own daughter was about 8 months old, Matt made the one decision that would change his life (and his daughter’s) forever when he completely surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.
The following year, God gave him the vision for A Father’s Walk. Since then, the ministry has continued to grow and flourish. Matt is fully committed to his relationship with Jesus, his daughter, and his mission to help change generations by leading single dads in Christ.
