What is God doing among the people living in rural areas of America? After all, rural lands cover most of North America. Next time on Equipped, we will focus on reaching rural communities for Christ. Bert Spalding and Doug Routledge of Crossroads Farm will share the unique needs and powerful partnerships that lead to effective ministry in small towns and churches.
Bert Spalding is the Director of Rural Church Initiatives for Crossroads Farm, facilitating the professional development of small town and rural church pastors. He is also an associate professor in the school of business and the faculty advisor for Ratio Christi at Wayne State University and is an adjunct professor and course developer for Geneva College.
Doug Routledge is executive director and co-founder, with his wife Dawn, of Crossroads Farm, a cooperative rural youth ministry. He has spoken across the country to colleges, churches, civic organizations and camps. Doug is a published illustrator and author of an award winning children’s book, Waking The World, as well as the ARMS Training, Servant Leadership Series.
