Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe is an internationally known Bible teacher and former pastor of the Moody Church in Chicago. He has written over 150 books, including the popular Be series of expositional Bible studies which has sold more than four million copies. He passed away on May 2, 2019.
Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer, is Pastor Emeritus at The Moody Church. He was born and reared near Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He is an award-winning author of more than twenty books, a celebrated international conference speaker, and the featured speaker on the radio program Running to Win. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in the Chicago area and are the parents of three married children and have seven grandchildren.
Carolyn Wiersbe Jacobsen is the second child and oldest daughter of Warren and Betty Wiersbe. She has been an OB nurse for 39 years and teaches clinicals for several area universities. She and her husband, Dave, live in Naperville, Ill., and have three married children and four grandchildren.
Dr. Mark Jobe serves as Moody Bible Institute’s 10th president, taking office on Jan. 2, 2019. He is the Bible teacher on Bold Steps with Dr. Mark Jobe and the author of Unstuck: Out of Your Cave Into Your Call. He and his wife, Dee, have been married 32 years and have three adult children, Marissa, Josiah and Grant. The Jobes currently reside in Chicagoland area where they are active members of New Life Community Church, a nondenominational, multisite church where Dr. Jobe has served as senior pastor since 1986. Mark is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and holds a Master’s Degree from Moody Theological Seminary and a doctorate from Bakke Graduate University.
Dr. George Sweeting was the sixth president (1971–1987) and chancellor of Moody Bible Institute. He received a diploma from Moody Bible Institute (1945), his B.A. from Gordon College and his Doctor of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Dr. Sweeting has served as a pastor in several churches, including Grace Church, Madison Avenue Baptist Church and The Moody Church and also spent nine years traveling the world as an evangelist. Dr. Sweeting has written numerous books, including The Joys of Successful Aging, Too Soon to Quit, Lessons from the Life of Moody and Don't Doubt in the Dark. He formerly hosted the Moody Radio program Climbing Higher and is a former columnist for Moody Magazine. Dr. Sweeting and his wife, Hilde, reside in the Chicagoland area.
Matt Shada is lead pastor at Steadfast Bible Fellowship in Omaha, Neb. He is a graduate of University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Moody Graduate School.
