Dr. Lyle Dorsett

Dr. Lyle Dorsett is a prolific author and accomplished speaker and teacher.  He is the former director of the Wade Center at Wheaton College and also served in the graduate school as Professor of Christian Formation and Ministry. In 2005, he moved to Birmingham, Alabama to become the Billy Graham Professor of Evangelism at Beeson.He is the author of numerous books, among them biographies of Joy Davidman (Mrs. C.S. Lewis), E. M. Bounds, Dwight L. Moody, and Billy Sunday. Keenly interested in the life and writings of C. S. Lewis, he has published a volume of Lewis’s Letters to Children, The Essential C. S. Lewis, and Seeking the Secret Place: The Spiritual Formation of C.S. Lewis. His most recent book is A Passion for God: The Spiritual Journey of A.W. Tozer. His book on Military Chaplains of World War II will be published in 2011. Dr. Dorsett and his wife, Mary have two grown children and four grandchildren.

Greg Wheatley

Greg Wheatley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spring Arbor College and a Master of Music degree in music theory from Michigan State University. In addition to serving on the adjunct faculty at Wheaton Conservatory, Mr. Wheatley teaches courses at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, and has also taught at Concordia University Chicago. He is the musical director of the Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale, a community chorus based in the western suburbs of Chicago. He also serves as Interim Music Director at New Covenant Church of Naperville. Mr. Wheatley spent more than 25 years in Christian radio, most recently with Moody Radio. During that time, he hosted such programs as Sound of Majesty, Prime Time America, and Mornings with Greg and Chris. He and his wife Jennifer have three adult children and three grandchildren. Mr. Wheatley has served on the Wheaton faculty since 1999.

Dr. Jerry Root

Dr. Jerry Root is a professor of Evangelism and the Director of Evangelism Initiative at Wheaton College.  His is author of several books on evangelism and the live and works of C.S. Lewis.  He is currently serving as the Director of the Institute for Strategic Evangelism at the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College where he also teaches in the Christian Formation and Ministry Department and in the Evangelism and Leadership MA program. Jerry is also a visiting professor at Talbot Graduate School of Theology and Biola University. He and his wife, Claudia, have four grown children all of whom are married and thirteen grandchildren.
