We’ll talk with Robby, not from his jail cell, not from the detox unit, but from the church he pastors. But wait—not only is he a pastor…well, you’ll have to listen to find out what God has done. Robby Gallaty

Robby has served as Long Hollow’s Senior Pastor since 2015. He wasn’t always a pastor, though. He battled a drug addiction that ravaged his life. Robby remembered the gospel that was shared with him by a friend in college and was radically saved on November 12, 2002. Eight months later, David Platt, a seminary student and church member at the time, asked Robby to meet weekly for accountability, prayer, and bible study. He was encouraged to go back to school to pursue theological education. Robby completed his Masters of Divinity Degree in Expository Preaching in 2007 and his Ph.D. in Preaching in 2011 from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Today, Robby’s gospel conviction and evangelistic zeal drive him to passionately “make disciples who make disciples.” In addition to his leadership at Long Hollow, Robby is also the founder of Replicate Ministries and the author of several books, including Growing Up, Firmly Planted, and Rediscovering Discipleship.

Kim Erickson

Kim Erickson began following Christ after the death of her three-year-old son from strep throat in 2008. Her growing relationship with the Lord and her Bible saved her from the pit of grieving the loss of a child. During this time, she also developed a deep, abiding love for the Word of God. Kim's love of Scripture led her to develop a website and teaching blog to help other women fall in love with the Word of God. Kim also contributed to the book Hopelifter: Creative Ways to Spread Hope When Life Hurts (2013). She is an attorney who practiced business litigation for thirteen years before becoming a law professor. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education, and has returned to her passion for teaching. Kim lives in Florida with her husband and son.
