Miriam Neff is founder and president of Widow Connection and a former high school teacher and counselor. She is the author of eight books, including From One Widow to Another: Conversations on the New You and Women and Their Emotions. Her one minute feature, New Beginnings, is heard on over 1200 outlets. Miriam’s late husband, Bob, was the former vice president of Moody Radio.
Valerie joined the NCF Chicago office as a Relationship Manager in 2019. She is the Executive Director at Orchard Ministry Development “OMD” where she assists donors with non-cash and legacy gifts. Valerie and her mother, Miriam Neff, founder of Widow Connection, can be heard on their radio feature “Starting Over Financially” nation-wide on Christian stations where they assist widows in preventing fraud and learning valuable budgeting and financial management skills. Previously an Attorney with the Christian Law Association, she holds a law license and her Certified Financial Planner certification. Since 2000, Valerie has served at her church leading groups and individuals toward good stewardship with Christian Financial Concepts, Crown Financial, then Financial Peace University. She loves to assist people in overcoming financial obstacles so they gain greater personal freedom and a deeper walk of generosity.
She is the daughter of Bob and Miriam Neff, is married to Mark Hogan and has three sons: Edward, Albert and Edmond. Mark and Valerie attend the Orchard Evangelical Free Church and are foster and adoptive parents.
