Thinking of just a few months ago here in the Midwest ... many people know what it’s like to be stuck in the snow. Spinning tires, the cold, wet feet... Some of us have actually been physically stuck, unable to move, maybe panicking a little about what we need to do to get un-stuck. That’s our theme today on Bold Steps with Pastor Mark Jobe as we look at a man in the Bible who was also very stuck. His name was Bartimaeus. He was stuck in what most saw as a destiny of defeat, but Jesus saw his heart and someone who was truly seeking God. Hear the powerful story and what we can learn from him in Mark chapter 10.
Mark Jobe serves as president of Moody Bible Institute and host of Moody Radio's Bold Steps. He is the author of Unstuck: Out of Your Cave into Your Call (Moody Publishers). He is also the founding pastor of New Life Community Church, a Chicago-based ministry with 27 locations throughout Chicago. Mark earned a diploma from Moody in 1984, a master’s degree from Moody Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in transformational leadership from Bakke Graduate University. He and his wife, Dee, have three adult children.
