A Detroit native, Nicole graduated from the University of Michigan and joined Teach For America (TFA) where she taught 5th grade in Compton, CA. Nicole received her doctorate in education from UCLA with a focus on urban education policy and teacher preparation. She joined the national staff of TFA and held several key leadership roles before starting The Expectations Project. Nicole has written two book and has appeared on CNN and ABC. Christianity Today named her one of, “50 Women Leaders Influencing the Church and Culture”. She lives near DC with her husband and their three children.

As co-host of the Just Gospel Podcast, Dr. Craig Hendrickson brings a great deal of ministry, teaching, and research experience in the areas of multiethnic and cross-cultural ministry. Before joining the faculty at Moody four years ago, Dr. Hendrickson served for sixteen years as a pastor, urban missionary, and campus minister in various multiethnic and cross-cultural environments. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Missional Leadership at MBI, and holds a PhD in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Seminary.
Ernest Gray Jr. is the pastor of Keystone Baptist Church located in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago. He is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Pastoral Ministries, and a graduate of Wheaton College with a Master’s Degree in Biblical Exegesis. He is working to finish his PhD coursework at McMaster Divinity College and has taught in the undergraduate school of Moody in the areas of Hermeneutics, first-year Greek Grammar, General Epistles, the Gospel of John, and Senior Seminar. It is Rev. Gray’s hope to impact the African American church through scholarship. Teaching has been one way that God has blessed him to live this out.
