As we continue with our study in Esther here on Moody Presents our teacher, Dr. Paul Nyquist, will help us understand the Warren Buffett term with a twist so that we can get “our skin” in God’s game. We watched Esther waiting and watching for the right time to get involved in order to save God’s people. After prayer and fasting she moved, she got her skin in the game, she moved ahead at great risk to her own life. What can we learn from the God given boldness of Esther? When Jesus the Nazarene, hung on the cross, died and then later rose from the dead, He offered us ultimate hope. Today’s message from Dr. Paul Nyquist comes from a different text. Typically we think of the gospel accounts of Jesus’ resurrection as the center point for an Easter message, but Dr. Nyquist instead takes us to Ephesians 2 for a look at Jesus’ finished work of the cross and how that offers us the only hope for our sinful state.
